I’ve never seen a single one of the “tankies” (that you would recognize by name for their pro NK stances and whatnot) ever admit to any wrongdoing by any of the countries they glorify. Not a single fucking one.

The Soviet Famine, the “Arduous March”, the " great leap forward" (Mao killed the most people in history more than the Nazi Holocaust, the Stalin Famine, the arduous march, Khmer Rogue etc.) They don’t ever have anything negative to say about those things. It was all external factors, weather, and misinformation by the west!

And that is why no one other then them and their devoted followers will ever listen to them. If they are incapable of admitting those things are wrong they are incapable of speaking the truth.

I won’t block anyone even if their straight up assholes because even a broken clock is right twice a day and I actually have learned some information that was true from them.

That being said though the ones who say North Korea is a utopia and USA is fighting a proxy war with Russia through Ukraine (true) but that Russia giving drones and military equipment to Iran isn’t the same thing and that isn’t a proxy war or that Mao was some sort hero of the people (I could definitely go on from here) those people are idiots and its very easy to look up anything they say and see that its complete bullshit.

I’m still not gonna block them. Hit them with an “Ok” and move on with your day. As soon as you pull out the graphs or cite multiple sources they will just ban you so there’s no point in fucking with them. Until they post on here from North Korea and prove us all wrong, you can easily disregard any of the bullshit they say.

That said the ONE person I have ever blocked on Lemmy was someone who posted a cartoon picture of a little kids butt on the self hosted community. I still don’t understand what that was about and I not only blocked them but reported them for that too. But other than child stuff, I probably won’t ever block anyone even if they’re complete assholes.

I mean just to be clear veterinarians and animal welfare groups disagree with you and to be honest it is wrong to force an animal to follow your belief system when it isn’t a natural system for them.

They still shouldn’t have banned people talking about it though. Part of what makes group discussions so good is that you can call shit out and point out stupidity. Well where I am the local grocery stores are where you go when you want to pay gas station chain prices at the grocery store.

Walmart gives it to you the cheapest available. So its like $2 vs $5 for a Gatorade and that’s one item. I don’t understand how anyone affords to shop anywhere else.

And yeah I feel you they are evil and the Waltons suck and the sales tax kills little kids in other countries through missle strikes and it all fucking sucks I feel you on that but damn at the end of the day I’m either going to blow my brains out about it or find the cheapest way to continue feeding me and my family. Which is unfortunately wal mart.

I envy the privelage one must have to be experiencing to ask questions like “why do people shop where its cheapest!?”.

I have to scrape together change and some people drink $8 cups of coffee in the morning that they don’t even finish I really don’t get it maybe I should go back to school. I don’t understand how people blow money comfortably like that it would keep me awake at night knowing I blew $8 on a single cup of coffee.

I see people driving brand new cars and smoking cigarettes in them and going out to clubs every night. What the fuck do these people do?? They can’t ALL be drug dealers or jewel theifs or some shit. I really don’t understand how it can be that way when I am drowning in debt from an extreme health injury I had to use credit cards to get through.

Idk this is getting off topic. People shop at the cheapest place because they can barely afford to breathe without it sending them into panic attacks about their financial situation.
