Reform UK leader Nigel Farage triggered a byelection when he quit as Member of Parliament amid an investigation into his finances. Avneet Dhillon explains what led to the probe, and why his main challenger in the race is Count Binface — a candidate dressed as a giant trash can.

The answer is “No”. But it’s satisfyingly humiliating that he brought that question upon himself.

whilst the Count is almost definitely not going to get the most votes, I do reckon that the vote share he does get means he’ll have “won” with how embarrassing it’ll look for Farage. At the very least it’ll be a win for his wallet by getting his deposit back when that tragically doesn’t usually happen.

It also means the investigation into Five Mil Froggie will resume. I had a good laugh when I heard the reports that he thought the by-election would kill the investigation for good.

Either way it’s win-win, but the more votes Binface gets, the greater the humiliation for the Frog.
