New oil mining is certainly gonna help decrease wild fires though
“Might look at introducing a disposable barbecue ban” - what planet are these people on? Seriously.
We’re at 2.4C of heating and have a water crisis, an energy crisis, a farming crisis, 3000 excess deaths and counting, and schools and workplaces shutting down.
Even conservatives and ‘climate sceptics’ are now seeing the writing on the wall, finally.
I’m lost for words tbh.
TIL disposable barbecues exist
Best part was using “disposable” barbecues for 5 year tbh

Yeah I didn’t know this was a thing either…
Very popular here in the UK because good weather is less common so it’s easy to pop down to the supermarket and pick up a couple for a last minute BBQ along with burgers, sausages, and beverages.
Seriously wtf. Most of the time “BBQ” is actually grilling, which requires a grill made of metal that can cook the food. Who saw that and was like “Let’s make cast iron grills you throw away?”
They’re not disposable cast iron BBQs, they’re just an aluminium foil tray with a few bits of charcoal in and a wire mesh to put the food on. As you can guess, they’re awful for cooking on.
Who came up with that terrible idea!?
Classic. A sensible country would just ban them without a second thought, but I guess we have to make sure businesses interested are served first. I mean, the title implies he hasn’t even started to ponder the notion.
I can’t understand why this isn’t already part of an automated process in any area when a drought is declared.
Also: vehicles should have fire extinguishers (not just at drought times).
wildfires continue to rage across the UK
Crazy
cold
Humid
Overcast
Always fucking raining
Somehow still on fire
It really is that bad…
