Look into foot peels. They usually contain salicylic acid. I didn’t believe that alone would do anything but I’m now a convert. The aftermath is gross for a few days, but for a brief moment in time you’ll have baby smooth feet. A few tips:

    • Obviously patch test to check you don’t get a negative reaction
    • Soak your feet in warm water for about 10 mins before
    • Keep the foot peel socks on longer than it says on the packaging (if it says 60 mins, keep them on 90 min)
    • Put socks over the foot peel socks so the liquid reaches all the nooks and crannies.
    • Get comfortable and watch a movie or something while you wait
    • In the days following, soak your feet once a day for 5-10 mins. This speeds up the peeling time.
    • Wear socks and when you take them off, turn them inside out above a trash can.
    • Resist the urge to peel the skin off. This is the hardest step
    • Final step is to enjoy your smooth feet and look into repeating in a few months, especially if you have some very stubborn areas.

I use a battery powered pumice stone basically to keep my calloused heels presentable and to keep the thickness under control to prevent cracking but I’m scared of fully removing the hardened build up since I’m in workboots all day at work. Seems like a blister risk but I could be wrong.

I tried one once and it helped a lot with the underside. I’m probably due for another bout tbh, and I think I have another package even. Thanks for the tips!

I’ve only ever used this brand:

Not sure you can find it outside of France though. I’ve heard good things about BabyFoot but can’t vouch for it I’m afraid.

It says “product contains plastic”. The pictogram is telling you not to flush it (or otherwise improperly dispose of it) so it doesn’t go out to sea and kill a turtle.

Should have put a /s, I thought it was funny is all. Like they don’t want it to be flushed but fuck it toss it in the ocean, just turtles in there.

I have really smooth feet, but I use these peels once a year. The only reason I use them, is because I get to peel off the skin, otherwise what’s the point?
