I just overheard a coworker saying “Oh, I would never try that in my life!”, in a discussion of food. (This was about consuming a steak cooked less than medium well). It made me wonder what life is like for those who refuse to try new food, especially those who refuse to try mundane things like fried shrimp.
Why limit yourself? It seems like such a closed-minded way to view food. Help me understand?

My only “picky” trait is that I don’t want to eat any reheated food. Gotta eat food made the same day
It’s sheer curiosity when I ask if this is a hard and fast rule or is there wiggle room?
Does this mean you’re not a fan of cold pizza? Or second day spaghetti/lasagna? I feel like they famously get better for a day or two of reheating.
There’s wiggle room ipso facto that me knowing its reheated makes me simply not want it while I wouldn’t really have much of a worry eating it. Cold pizza has like an 16h from cooked period for me. Lasagna maybe? But spaghetti are hard no.
Thanks for responding and giving me the insight!
