Why am I not shocked.

A work of fiction does not need to be the peak of human writing and intellectualism to still change the way a person thinks about the world, though. Honestly, it could actually be actual trash but mean something to you, having consumed it at the right time and place.
We are all in different places in life and some are “further” than others and may need more help to reach what may be a “simple” answer to you due to being less intelligent or being born into worse circumstances etc.
