Hey! Tried my BOS for the first time. However my ferro rod got bumpy and now refuses to make sparks. Do you have this type of problem with yours ?
If the rod looks like
its ribbed for their pleasurea washboard on the surface, that’s a totally normal issue with ferrocerium rods. It’s caused by inconsistent pressure when scraping, youtube has some vids on technique that are hilarious for the intensity with which the presenters treat the subject - but the fix is just to get a nice metal file and smooth it back out (!!! DO NOT DO THIS OVER A FLAMMABLE SURFACE !!!)Hey thanks man 🙏. Much appreciated
