I got a couple Suzuki Samurai’s but I want a Monte Carlo, my second car. I love them. Mine had a 283, built with a friend that died years later and that killed me as a person. But building out a Monte in New England in February is not a light task.

Not that o dont like older cars, they look way better than any of the cars built in the past 10 years, but I want an electric car, if any at all. Gas cars have been killing the planet for a century, its kinda time to stop that
Nah man, you’ll be saving the planet much more effectively by picking the older car.
Think of it as consumerism vs recycling thing. By buying the older car, you’re reusing what’s already been produced and by maintaining it, you’re prolonging it’s lifespan.
By buying the new one, you’re effectively pumping up the demand for new cars, encouraging the producer to increase production and exploit the earth more.
Plus, if you’re buying a used EV, you’re most likely gonna inherit it’s abused batteries and replacing them costs literally as much as you paid for the car, and again - you’re encouraging the producer to exploit the earth more to supply you with more lithium.
EVs are not the way. Go for hybrids though, they’re the best of both worlds.
