I applaud everyone who is willing to stand up to their government, but I also don’t expect them to risk their lives if they would rather move to a better place.
I don’t know why the concept of “trust but verify” is foreign to people.
Will at least part of it is because the left is scared of the right and don’t want to do anything to give them political ammunition. So they decide to adopt to their policies to a certain extent in order to defend themselves. It never works of course because they are operating under the assumption that the opposition are at least somewhat rational.

But only judge by actions, nothing else.
