What the hell is up with that title? From TFA: “New research has shown we need 120% of typical rainfall over the next seven months for all areas to be considered out of drought.” The word “relentless” does not appear anywhere in it.
Our typical rainfall is 80mm/month. So we’re talking an extra 16mm. We had 16mm in one afternoon a couple of weeks ago. It was very heavy rain, but hardly relentless.
Big difference between ‘20% more rain over the next seven months’ and ‘rain non-stop for seven months.’
