I got this tea set at a thrift store today and I tried to look up the makers mark out of curiosity, but I’m awful with kanji and I havent been able to get any online tools to help figure it out. I know it’s probably not anything special, but I’m still curious.


MEIFENG as best as I can tell. Please note, I can not read Kanji but it seems this is the wrong orientation in the pic. I had to crop it and rotate it to get it to translate.
Feng is not valid Japanese (must end in vowel or n) so it’s getting translated as Chinese which does allow that.
Yeah I got that result on google translate too, but the kanji or hanzi symbols it picks out are wrong.
Using my iPhone to translate I got the same thing
