Just because they bumped uglies and you fell out, didn’t mean you owe then anything. If they’re making your life hard, the best boundary is a closed door. I say this as someone who excommunicated the only parent they have, because they were making me miserable. I miss them, but I can’t have them in my life. I’ve tried.
