That’s literally the mindset that drug dealers operate from: give a few, initial doses at a loss to get the person addicted. Then jack up the price because the addict can’t function normally without the product.
This is why I feel like AI companies operate at a loss
1- they gather training data,
2- if they wing it for 10 years people won’t be able to extract information or do certain tasks without AI help
