Honestly it may be nice for everyone to take a week off of the internet as like a holiday and get out and meet their neighbors. Ever lived anywhere without electricity, like a developing country? People don’t have a choice but to interact IRL with the people around them. All the time may be rough but as a temporary community thing it would be good for people I think to collectively get offline a little.
I was being a little facetious earlier; I do actually think that the internet, despite all its niceties, has a negative effect on people’s psychology.
Doesn’t necessarily mean I want to get rid of it… entirely, but people really need more face to face contact. Like, as a moral imperative. Same as a child needs their broccoli.
