you have 6% shoes, they hurt they leak but you can’t get better ones
you have 6% food, you are either hungry or eating something terrible for you or something that tastes terrible all the time (I for example did not realize steak could taste good until I was in my twenties and finally had a job where I could afford a nice dinner)
you have 6% housing, there are bugs and critters, there are leaks it is too cold or too hot all the time, you always live next to neighbors you aren’t sure about so it’s probably not safe to walk around, your landlord won’t fix anything and you can’t do anything about it
you have a 6% life most everything in your life cannot get very much better than it is and you don’t have the time the money or the connections to do hardly anything about it

And the only way you could get a phone that goes to 50% is by having a phone that goes to 40%, and the only people qualified to get that phone are the ones whose phones go up to 25%. And in order to get that phone you’re current phone need to be able to hold 15%, which even having 2 phones that go up to 6% wouldn’t suffice.

Now imagine a family of 3 with only 1 phone that goes to 6% but all 3 people need it at the same time throughout the day

Man I was talking to this guy, masters in finance, bachelor’s in economics, worked 10 years in commodities supply chain. Fucker is randomly telling me, if you can’t find a job in the city and they’re poor, why don’t they just go to another city halfway across a country? When I told him it’s because they can’t afford the ticket for public transport, he’s like nobody is that poor, I’m making shit up.
No one really understands unless they’ve been there. Where you’re counting cents in your bank account, carefully adding everything up at the market before you get to the checkout to avoid any embarrassment about not having enough money, extra careful with your possessions because breaking it means it cannot be replaced, etc.
I know man, fortunately I’ve never been there, but I’ve worked closely for years with people who do. Man it’s heart-breaking. It’s so easy for middle class and above to pretend like poor people don’t exist.
I swear so many people if they spend one month like poor, they’d not survive And then my own mom, thinks people are poor because they don’t work hard enough, and I’m like wtf… Her own sister was on the verge of becoming homeless despite both my aunt and uncle full time working and only avoided it because of interest free loans from family. She still thinks my aunt must have done something wrong. She bailed her out, and she paid my mom the money. But my mom still thinks it’s her fault. That was during 2008 FYR.
I’ve been asking her to come with me to soup kitchen like once, and talk to people. She has come but only behind the pot for serving and has refused to talk to people.
Definitely a cracked screen. Also, only takes a charge if the cable is at a specific angle.
And it charges extra slowly. Something like the charger sometimes even discharges the phone instead of charging it.
