      We drive around in car centric hell, sanding our tires down into micro plastics, breathing that shit in and worrying about Tupperware as if that’ll save us.

      It’s wild how much plastic and PFAS there is in hiking and camping gear. You’d think hikers and campers would care more about the environment, but no, having your waterproof gear be as light as possible is more important.

        Yep, check the ground on any hiking trail and there’s so much plastic trash everywhere. Especially protein bar wrappers

          I’m so glad I can’t confirm this. The hiking trails by me, and the couple state parks nearby, are all rather clean. It’s so nice to wander into the woods and not have to see the trash everywhere.
