    He was arrested for causing a disturbance. You’d be arrested for the same thing if you acted like a dickhead at a school or in a police station.

    I suspect he was probably asked to stop by hospital staff and he refused, hence the fine

      I believe he was arrested under suspicion of “Intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance without a reasonable excuse.”

      I appreciate some people may have been upset by his actions. Who knows, he might need help himself. Regardless, the statutory offence alone is hilarious, never mind the act itself.

        The UK is full of these public decency laws that have a lot of vagueness to them, meaning they can be broadly applied even in situations where they shouldn’t (not saying this is one of those situations, this guy did more than just stand on a roof).

        The ridiculous thing is that “making a youtube video” or something similar could potentially be considered a “reasonable excuse”. Probably easier to get away with it if you’re a network TV show, at least that’s generally been the case over the last few decades…
