My house came with these. The washer shook itself to pieces internally, something broke inside and made a HORRIBLE sound when spinning. Prior to that, it sounded like the main bearing was failing. It would make very loud screech sound when it started up or stopped. I think they were three or four years old. The washer would frequently refuse to spin, so it’d leave the laundry soaked and I’d have to force a spin load.
Dryer was fine, but driers kind of last forever.
Replaced the washer with a speed queen and got a free gas dryer from a relative.
Hope yours do better. Maybe the previous owners washed a weighted blanket or something.
