I recently found sponsorblock through another youtube bitching post months ago and found it was just as amazing as ad blocking. Sometimes it doesnt get them all, but it hits most and saves minutes sometimes off of watching. I absolutely think its a must have now.

uBlock Origin Lite blocks YouTube ads just fine, actually
Until Manifest v4 then v5 then v6 which I will bet you a billion dollars I don’t have will keep choking out ad blockers
At that point I bet they will block any browser or device that is capable of blocking ad banners, let alone Youtube ads

Actually I use Waterfox with both, and ProTube on mobile, but sadly that doesn’t work on my shitty Roku TV
Install Downloader (or similar), then use that to find and install SmartTube. It’s basically Revanced optimized for TVs.
I use uBlock on PCs, Revanced on the phones, and SmartTube on the Firesticks.
Wasn’t really directed at you, more at the generic user bitching about ads portrayed in the meme.
Don’t need sponsorblock I think, or maybe I’m just not watching videos where it’s needed. Just ublock origin.
Sponsorblock definitely helps on the in-video ad reads if they’re excessive or irrelevant. Ublock won’t get those.
