Sure, in between sentences. But there’s no need for a period at the end of a message. Just look at the comments. There’s many without a period at the end, and some with. I thought it was kinda silly at first to prescribe meaning to it as well, however it works well as an indicator of tone, and punctuation at the end of a message doesn’t really have any other purpose now that messages are contained within their own bubble
