I noticed almost everybody here agrees that all AI is bad, and anything produced by AI is slop. and refuse to use any software made in part or in whole with AI or help of AI? Please mention your background and usage of AI with your answer.

This is exactly the same phenomenon happening here in the comments. Fortunately there are some thoughtful comments here that explain they are mainly concerned about ethical and environmental effect of AI regardless of its usefulness. Some other unfortunately dislike AI and people using AI for unknown reasons. Maybe a Luddites effect happening?
To be fair I kinda understand. If the way ai is being rolled out and used today is causing great environmental and social harm then calling for a stop makes sense. Conversely its one of those things where we know its pretty much impossible to have it completely stop as it has uses. I personally would not mind if it was completely stopped in general use but would not like it to not be worked on and studied which would require a certain level of use. I think about the internet and how it had a maturation for close to a quarter century before it was really used by the general public.
