President Donald Trump on Monday called on New Mexico to change its name to “New America” — the latest example of him seeking geographical name changes that fit his political agenda.
It was named well before Mexico was a country, actually. But it was named after the Aztec’s Valley of Mexico. First there was the valley, then their was the Spanish owned lands north of the Rio Grande, then came the nation, then came the state but maintaining the old Spanish name (translated to English).
“New America” doesn’t even make sense. It is IN America, you dolt!
It was in Mexico when it got its name. Still stupid to rename it though

New America
Somewhere I could actually be proud to be an American? Nice.
