    There’s lots of ways to stop them working…

    My point was if there’s not a simple off switch, the only way to turn them off and be sure they stay off, is to render them inoperable.

    Since they’re solar powered, all chopping one down requires is a new pole.

    And the camera is likely to keep recording the entire time.

    So if someone was to chop one down, they need to be aware the entire thing is recorded, they’re still being recorded, and since the battery is likely located within the housing separating the solar from the camera still won’t stop it.

    It would just stop the battery from recharging once it dies, which would at least take till the next day since they run thru the night.

    It’s a start to cut them down, but it’s not enough, it’ll go back up eventually.

    Unless it’s rendered fully inoperable

      One person bags it and others nearby before walking away, another person just so happens to be passing by with a fully-charged Sawzall and takes down the poles. Must’ve been their lucky day, definitely not a criminal (but doing a good thing) conspiracy.
