  • Not to go over every use-case (I’ll pick two) but in scientific scenarios the researcher is unlikely to take the result at face value and with the artistic angle it could serve as a proof-of-concept for a bigger idea. Rather than immediately announcing “We cured cancer” scientists would put the ideas from AI through its paces in vitro or with animal trials. I for one have had some ideas for comics or short films and rather than trying to sell an investor or prospective contributor with bad storyboards (I also can’t draw for shit) or loose synopses I could present maybe a few pages or a couple minutes of something closer to the final product. Where I think people go wrong is using AI as the final product itself, not an enabler or a tool of last resort (e.g. applying an effect with AI when standard CG is outside the budget).

You could still say that any of these uses diminishes or discounts the skills of human beings but none of us are purists in that sense (e.g. almost everyone can do math but nobody is trying to ban calculators).

  • A few tips. No scissors or electric shavers. Pull areas to be tight and flat. Go slow at first. Use a razor you’ve used a couple times so it’s not at it’s sharpest, it’ll still get the job done but be less likely to cause major cuts.

Also general advice, if your partner doesn’t fully appreciate the results or effort then stop trying. I’ve never gotten criticized about a “full bush” or specifically complemented on a “smooth finish” so I stopped trying. Not worth the hassle if your partner thinks you’re already sexy. More sit-ups or push ups might be more appreciated.
