9 days agoI don’t think I’ve ever had a frost-free freezer be completely frost-free, even when we’re carefull not keeping it open for to long.
These days we de-ice it every winter where the food can be outside.

Proxmox with LXC’s and a few VM’s.
Often with Portainer as well.
It’s just nice to use and easy to automate backups.
I used to run barebone on Debian, but I accepted that I’m not good enough in the terminal and to used to graphical solutions to go back.
Think we have the exact same fan.
Greased up the joint last summer and the high pitched whine has been gone since.

This is a good answer.
Nuclear for the base load that can be ramped up/down as needed, and using renewables like wind/solar/hydro as much as possible.
In my country it’s mostly hydro, which is fantastic, but would be even better if we had nuclear as a base load solution and hydro to catch the peaks and for export.
Sadly most people fear nuclear here, so it won’t happen soon.
