He is right in the sense that building the tram lines was lack of vision for the future. After a certain size, cities need public transportation in a dedicated lane. But a metro line doesn’t replace a tram line. They complement each other. Trains, trams, brt, bus and micro-mobility complement each other in commuting.
The best time to build the metro was 100 years ago. The second best time is now. If musk’s boring company can build metro lines, so be it. Shit like las vega’s loop isn’t an alternative to anything.

So if i’m getting this right, in europe they are red, in china blue, and in NY (North america ?) they are green…

The problem isn’t the snow. The problem is the ice. If the roads aren’t cleaned and snows, the problem is the cold but sunny days. It creates ice. Now this is dangerous. But if you have studded tires and ride slow there should be no problem.

I hate these fuckers. This happens a lot in my home town. I was young i just cursed the fuckers and kept going. Nowadays i would deflate the tire.

US speed running to idiocracy.
I think it would go to before the SUV appeared, since people wouldn’t feel afraid of the other cars. The trucks (f150 type) would be smaller and more practical. They are bigger nowadays, but have less capacity.
And the cars would be different from what we have today. They would be at least more human size

This is just a roundabout with a way for drivers to bail out and turn around before entering the roundabout

“beach” and “highway” two words i’ve never seen together, but here we are…
