Yeah, as a former sweaty back commuter its a big improvement to not have a backpack on. Plus I get fewer holes in the back of my t-shirts now from friction between them and the backpack.
Although with the heatwaves right now I still get fairly sweaty, at least not having a backpack on makes it a bit better.
Ortlieb bags seem pretty good in my experience. I have the backroller XL which is a pannier bag with a shoulder strap rather than a backpack. Plus they are made in Germany and not just a German company with outsourced production.

Leave school with shit results, have your parents divorce because of you and sell the house you live in leaving you to having to find somewhere to rent on way below poverty wages. Rent a single bedroom in a shared house with communal bathroom and toilet, there is no living room or parking but that is OK because you can’t afford a car anyway and have to walk/cycle everywhere. Start drinking with the other guys living there. Some pubs in town are expensive so drink several pints before going out and only get a single round at the pub.
That was a significant improvement compared to school.

Would love to dig a bunker in the garden, but the materials to support the walls/roof seem somewhat expensive for just a fun little project. Plus my garden is pretty small so there wouldn’t even be much to it. Like 50m² or so is the entire garden and should probably keep away from the walls of it to avoid undermining someones foundations, that would probably annoy someone.

Yeah bikes and scooters are easier to take inside. Which is a far better security option than locking it up.
Its a scooter, anyone can just pick it up and walk off with it. If you want security you probably need a motorcycle chain and lock. Don’t get cheap ones, cheap locks are terrible.
Recently opened a cheap lock by using the key from another lock and just jiggled it as I turned until the lock opened. Another lock I was able to pick with a single flat head screwdriver.
I am not good or experienced with lockpicking. Literally the only locks I have ever picked and without even using proper tools. But then if you leave it for long enough someone could always drill the lock too. Best you can really do is make it draw too much attention for the value of what they could steal.

If BBQ I have been thinking the best choice is to just get a replacement grill top for any reasonably decent BBQ and then dry stack some bricks to place it on.
Air fryers are smaller and portable though. I don’t have the space for 3 ovens. I do have the space for a small oven and air fryer with 2 compartments.
Rarely need all of them, but more than 1 or having a small one is frequently beneficial

Sure, if I connect it to the internet I expect all sorts to updates to be missing. But offline? 1 day or 100 years shouldn’t make any difference. OK the CMOS battery might be flat.
So far I have sharpened a few times using the base of a mug. Its not a great surface to use but I have a few shitty novelty mugs no one is going to use so it works.
Got some clay in the garden, almost tempting to form it into a tile and use that as a sharpening stone. But stone probably lasts longer.
Think I will stick with my current knives then. Around £20 or so for the small ones, maybe twice as much for the big one.
Do need to sharpen them at some point. Probably could do with a decent sharpening stone too. Have thought of just smoothing a stone tile/brick and using that as one.
How much per knife? I don’t need an entire set, I need 1 knife. Maybe 2. A small one and a big one and I use that for everything.
