You are not logged in. If you use a Fediverse account that is able to follow users, you can follow this user.
I wouldn’t have minded using their app instead, but I don’t have the Play Store on my phone (I’m on GOS)
Any reason why you aren’t just using the Aurora store?
No, you can use your own account if you like but the “default” usage is to log in anonymously
