You keep going back to an unexisting ideological divide. I’m a communist. Most of Lemmy everywhere is socialist. That was never the issue.

“Non communists are toxic too” is not a defense. It’s an admission. Of course you’ll find toxic examples in any sufficient large group of people. It’s when the group culture fosters that behavior (or at least fails to curb it) that it becomes a problem.

You’re fighting hard to deny this, but think earnestly about why so many staunchly left wingers couldn’t stand them anymore. It’s not because they want “from each according to their means, to each according to their needs”. The (stated) ideology is exactly the point of agreement.

Ideological differences don’t explain the brigading, dogpiling, constant trolling, bad faith arguments. There are only so many times an instance admin is willing to ban single users from a place until they get fed up with a culture of abuse and cut ties with the whole lot.

I’m sure they’re all patting each other’s backs there. But I’ve interacted with them elsewhere and when they are exposed to anything but straight tankie bootlicking they turn vicious. Not a single decent interaction, and I’ve had several.
