I can’t make guarantees, but it should be fine. There’s some microcontroller inside that’s programmed to turn the voltage high or low. It just flicks the switch and doesn’t know or need to know what happens behind it.


At that point I would just burn it and only piss on it once the fire’s out.


I mostly solved that by not having fires often.

It’s the easiest and fastest way I can boil water. If I had induction and a fitting kettle, it would probably be equally good while taking less space. I once looked what kind of stovetop kettles exist, but none seemed good. Also, with the context of this post, you may guess how I feel about a whistling kettle. I just want to boil water, not listen to high pitched noises.

I don’t think piezo buzzers are exactly resistive loads, or that cutting speakers would break appliances either way. My kettle works the same as before, just less annoying.

Should work, yeah. I guess I’d start by trying something like 100 ohms, but I don’t really know.
Sounds the same as what I have, except for the beep. The ability to set the temperature seems nice, though I’ve never needed it. Usually I just grab it before it boils.
