Oh really? So how do you prove no AI has been used? In the case you describe, there was at least some evidence that AI was used in form of the author’s posts, but I regularly see people accusing things as AI generated based on vibes (see e.g. the comic author from the OOP. Publishing Krita time lapses and source files seems not to be enough evidence for some people)
Interestingly, in my client both show up as separate dashes. I suspect it’s simply a ligature in the font used in your frontend.
E: Hm, no that is not it, copy-pasting the text from the web frontend copies the em- an en-dashes, so it’s actually replacing the characters during rendering.
I also get paid near the end of the month, the way I handle it in Actual is I budget at the beginning of the month with the money I have at that point. When the salary comes in, I click on the now non-zero unbudgeted amount and select “Hold for next month”, which moves the amount to the next month for budgeting purposes (the transaction keeps the correct date). It is an extra step, but I have two jobs, both of which pay on different dates, which also vary with weekends and holidays, so I don’t think there is a better way in my case.

I feel like series adaptions of games and books work better in general, you can fit in more of the original’s world building
