Watching a skilled and experienced chef chop onions. I consider myself a relatively skilled amateur cook and with a good knife I can do a decent dice on an onion, but not fast. I have a friend who’s been a professional chef his entire career, watching him dice onions is just mesmerizing. He gets a perfect dice on an onion in at most 1/10th of the time it takes me, and for most of the process, he’s not even looking at it.

Every single European country. No moving part of a car can extend beyond the fixed bodywork. Even “open wheel” cars have to have the top 180 degrees of tyre covered.

In County Cork in Ireland I once saw a shop that was a “Gentleman’s hairdresser and railway bookshop.”
