  • So there was this fiction book series I read about cybersecurity. Old tech is the ultimate security in the story, it’s creepy how parallel it is to today. You would have to take some extra steps to make it secure but you would be out of the radar of the majority.

The whole premises is like how Macintosh was considered being secure was because nobody wanted to waste their finding vulnerabilities to it since it was such a small batch of users. Of course that changed. But you can use what you have as dedicated forks for certain functions as a layer of security. W11 is going to likely have more vulnerabilities compared to W7 since no one really uses it anymore. Or even LTSB/LTSC forks. You would have to be on a list if you’re getting attention.

Wow lucky. A baseball field here was repaired by taxpayer dollars under the guise that it will be paid for by FEMA; then they don’t know when that payment will happen, only a portion will be paid compared to the final cost. Oh yeah and the lame baseball team is going to another city. Cool, not that I care since I only went to one game in 20 years. And there’s a shortage in city funds to fix infrastructure. Go figure

  • With all the food recalls, I’m sure plumbing is a high demand job.

Jokes aside; trades suck. If you like hot ass heat, cramped places, constant injuries, buying your own tools, ruining your body before you reach forty, and annoying customers; then it’s the job for you. This is an anecdotal take but yeah it’s not fun. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I say I wish I did anything else for the last ten years. The money was good but the added pain isn’t worth it.
