Love sorting by “new comments” I believe old message boards where also sorted like that on default? or maybe im misremembering. Sadly PieFed does not have that yet :(

I dont like that posts from 24h ago are already forgotten and you never really get a broader perspective on things because I think people (me included) don’t bother commenting on stuff nobody will see as its not “Hot” anymore. I would love to see threads/posts being active for a longer time.

I also like piefeds “Active” algorithm. It does filter out alot of circle jerk content where there really is not much to talk about instead of agreeing.

No, not anymore. I also think about sun setting my other account on the microblogverse (never used twitter but started using mastodon because its foss weirdly enough).
I did use Reddit the most of all mainstream platforms but stopped way before the whole API debacle as I grew tired of the community recycling old jokes and the circle jerk.
