[blue, shaking, in distress]
Help me!
I have been robbed!
I have lost all my belongings!

[yellow, a finger raised, looking smug]
Wrong.
Robbing is illegal.
It’s impossible that you have been robbed.

[zoom on blue, who is looking blasé and emotionless]

Hypothetically, a person who believed that breaking the law was impossible, ought to also be for the abolition of police, prisons, and the criminal justice system in general, since without crime, those things would lose their justification (at least to the general public) and therefore be a major waste that locks up only people who would have to be innocent. However, it’s somehow hard to imagine the sort of person that would suggest illegal things don’t occur, actually taking such a position.

Voter discrimination based on race is illegal in the USA, but the Supreme Court recently ruled that it is up to the impacted voters to prove that racism was the cause.

Unless the Republicans are literally twirling their mustaches and saying, “Excellent, now we will do a racism,” I’m not sure how that is supposed to happen.

I had this argument a bunch.

      “That restaurant/store/police can’t do that! It’s illegal!”

Like yeah. But nobody is stopping them and i’m the one forced to suffer.

Assault and battery is illegal, so therefore if you kick him in the shins, that didn’t happen either. It’s win-win!
