And honestly it doesn’t make any difference for me - my carpets get just as dirty just as fast whether I take shoes off or not. I still take them off, but since I clean the carpets I know exactly how little difference it makes. It’s a “feel good” exercise in my house.
Maybe it’s cultural but I don’t understand why would anyone wear shoes at home.

If you’re constantly going in/out, it’s a waste of time.
