This is the proper take, I’ve seen other posts on lemmy that are to the effect of “gtfo of the kitchen or I’ll stab you” and I think thats such a shitty attitude to have toward someone you claim to love.
Nah. Love is complicated. I would not dream of messing up her 100.0% absolutely pristine tidy and clean desk. I know she loves me, but I know she’ll kill me – or worse: she’ll sneak into my space and remove an object.
Seriously. In my own view of how things are now, relationships are seen as status/material things now instead of being together throughout the hardships that come with a relationship BECAUSE you love each other.
It’s truly sad, and has made me want to not participate in relationships, friend or lover. It’s lonely, but what can you do.
I was lucky and found someone who truly cares for me but it happened organically and I think thats the only way it will ever happen. I feel the constant pressures to be in some sort of relationship and shady dating apps have ruined that.
