Every vote from the center is not only a vote you gain but a vote you deny the other party.
And every step you take toward the center is a step closer to being indistinguishable from the other party.
That’s the entire idea, and why people demand unquestioning support for centrists.

Lie to the center for their vote. Then be progressive.
