At least part of the reason he is being kept separate is because he’s not actually in prison, technically he’s been held pending extradition so it’s more like jail, that just happens to be in a prison.
It seems he was arrested on charges of sex trafficking minors and rape. That’s usually something inmates in prison can skin you alive for.
I don’t approve that, but that’s kind of an open secret about prison culture. Well, maybe not skinning alive specifically, but murder and torture - yes.
