Where is lawbreaking not just visible, but designed to be seen? Where is antisocial behaviour worn as a badge of honour? Where is pleasure gained directly from causing distress? And where is reckless endangerment often ignored by the police or treated with the mildest of punishments? The answer is on the roads.
Nah, this doesn’t work. I tried to gently tell a guy at the gas station one time, in one of those huge lifted pickups, that he had his brights on (as a hint that his headlights were too fucking bright) and he freaked out on me, screaming, threatening, etc.
Gently doesn’t work and you were a stranger. These messages need to come from friends or acquaintances / coworkers / clients. The message needs to be delivered assertively while leaving them a small out to protect their ego.
They won’t change in front of you, they need to process that on their own. Don’t rub their face in it if they change.
