    @Smoogs I will add that while it could potentially be used for things like large data sorting (still, we have had ml doing this for decades that no one cared about because again, propaganda), but the bads FARRRRRRRRR outweigh the good in every possible scenario. Timmy gets a generated picture of a giraffe while we face the uprising of a technofascist oligarchy that constantly surveils and makes deepfakes to rid anyone who doesnt worship Dear Leader. You are being surveiled for future “crime”.

      I do not disagree. I’m for a far more regulated use of AI. I just think treating every problem with a THING=BAD hammer is an unsophisticated way to follow up on any complex problem that requires some secondary thought.

        @Smoogs oh totally. In the end its just a supercomputer , its not impressive, just takes throwing trillions of dollars at something. Humans control it.

        If they were publicly owned, transparently managed, powered by green energy, and any profits made from them would go to the nations poorest, I’d be totally behind it!
