They didn’t show what it supposedly drove past, but said surrounding them with cones has worked in other cases. Something actually blocking the passage of cars, but at least a cone would be better than signs.
at least these cars stop when something is in their way. I remember some old guy in my hometown driving trough the pedestrian zone, ramming chairs and tables of some restaurant along the way. some people stepped in front of the car to make the driver stop, but they had to jump to the side because he did not give a fuck. it was pure luck that nobody was hurt. according to the news he was upset that there was no free parking anymore, so he wanted to drive directly to the stores.
isn’t waymo the one that stopped on someone then turned on the hazard lights?
