Uh yeah. Fuckin easy. I’ve tried AI. It was briefly kind of impressive, but added absolutely nothing to my life except the frustration of checking the answers for factual accuracy, which took even longer. I can’t even think of a good use case.

I have a brain. I’ve put a lifetime of work into training it. I’ll fight like hell anyone who tries to make me use it less.

I tried using it as OCR software to help me simplify splitting up a grocery receipt between me and my roommates.

It messed up some item names, fine, it got all the numbers right, but it wouldn’t sum correctly in excel. I was totally baffled until I realized it used a non-unicode dollar sign symbol for some of the prices which caused excel to be unable to recognize those prices.

It took me longer to diagnose the issue and resolve it than it would have taken me to do the damn thing with a pencil and calculator.

      Fuck AI.

Caveat edit: it does seem to work fine for instant and casual translation software. I wouldn’t rely on it for anything that matters, but speaking casually between people with language barriers, works well enough. And that’s p cool ngl
