He’s not making up scent layering. Cologne bros like to wear multiple colognes and call it scent layering, but you know they just reek. They think cologne is a personality. Stumbled upon their weird corner of the internet while looking for a new one recently.

I swear to god there is the scent most people can’t recognize and it just takes my breath away. Not in a good way. This literally stops me from breathing for some seconds. And it’s not really a smell, but more a combination of smelling and feeling with my nose, and it’s absolutely horrible.

I used to work in a bar and you could tell when a woman over 50 was approaching. I guess their noses don’t work well enough anymore, you could taste them when they entered the room. Had to crack windows a few times just to breathe.

Often smokers in my experience. A cloud of perfume to cover the smoke smell but the two combine into a noxious area effect chemical weapon.

Like they punched you inside your nose. But I’ve talked to a lot of friends, and most of them aren’t able to pick that scent up. Just one of them shares the experience.

We’re probably some kind of new human breed. Not superior, oh god no. Just new.
