I replied to someone saying that the USSR defeated the Nazis saying that it was a group effort. Got into an argument and called a Nazi repeatedly because “I was mad that the USSR defeated the Nazis and hated them for it” which is ridiculous. This isn’t the first time that’s happened on Lemmy. What’s up with that?

If I had to choose between having a conversation with someone from ml or dbzer0, id just give myself a concussion and take a nap.
Edit: I need to correct myself. ml doesnt seem that bad and I think I got it mixed up with something else. Might be losing my mind a little.
What’s wrong with db0? They don’t like Hexbear.
User is likely right-leaning. They tend to hate anarchists and MLs just as much.
I don’t hate anarchists, I hate people that fucking cosplay as anarchists.
Edit: some of you over there are alright, if not great, but unfortunately the “super cool” theming of the instance doesn’t really help. Some people see anarchism as just some cool thing, while they would be willing to punch down on service workers just to prove a point. This is a fun example of why it’s better for me to just not engage.
I might run into you at union action or protests on the same side, but this is just exhausting.
I don’t think any of us likes “punching down on service workers”. I’m not sure where you get that vibe.
Someone from there boasting about littering in govt and corporate owned places, and me getting pissed about the strain that puts on the minimum wage cleaners that are already stressed enough as is, and seeing the response to that from others - that ended up making me lose my cool in a bad way that I’d like to avoid from happening.
I’m pretty sure all of the context has been nuked, and I’m sorry if one instance has made me unfairly mark it as a place to avoid for my own sanity and personal growth goals.
