Ugh, my now-ex-wife used to try to guess the plot. She’d watch intently, then blurt out “I know what’s going to happen!” Then, tell me. She was wrong more than she was right, but the times she got it right prompted her to keep doing it.
It’s not the reason she’s my ex-wife, but I don’t miss it.
My wife and I do this, but with movies or shows that are really dumb (e.g. From, just watched with her). It’s mainly throwing outlandish scenarios out and saying “There is no way this is what happens.”
During legitimate movies or shows that’s a no-go though.

i had a buddy that would do the same and if he correctly guessed would unironically say the movie was bad because it was too predictable
