I feel sorry for these people when I read stories like these. They’re pushing themselves so hard physically and emotionally, their head’s in a weird place, their judgement is off and they end up humiliating themselves on the world stage. Virtually the entire world. The worst kind of fame. This person’s life is over. They will forever be the point of ridicule by everyone.

Can you imagine waking up every day, your career is totally over, having to face that. Knowing that the whole world has seen what you did in the heat of the moment. You have let down every one who supported you, your family, and failed your life’s goal in the most embarrassing way possible. To hide yourself away in miserable shame is the best you could possibly hope for.

And it just doesn’t go away, now you have to get on camera to apologize and explain it away. You have to make statements. You have to watch clips of it over and over. Everywhere you go people are talking about you in hushed mocking wispers. Everything you do will have an asterisk near it. One fucked up moment overshadows everything else you will ever do from here on out. For the rest of your life.

That’s a hard burden to carry.

And here I was thinking Hyrox was the original Oreo. I heard about this but had no idea ‘Hyrox’ was the name of the sport. 🤣

Hyrox as a sport won’t live this down for a while, and I doubt she ever will. She’ll be the lady that shat herself doing Hyrox for the rest of her life.

So much worse than it sounds. This was an indoor race and it wasn’t just running. They used “communal equipment such as ropes, sandbags, rowing machines and medicine balls”

She finished first, so there was poop smeared on everything for the racers behind her. She ruined everyone’s race and potentially got people sick.

It was bad enough that athletes behind her were gagging and trying not to vomit. Now, hyrox did give those athletes time penalties.

Nice of her to apologize, but this is really on the officials and the organization for not pulling her out.

High-level athletes are always going to want to compete. They’ll play through injury and discomfort to win. If it were up to them, they would and do put themselves in danger of further injury just to get out there and play. That’s why coaches and staff are the ones who make decisions to bench players for injury and it’s not left up to the players themselves.

I agree, it’s not on her to withdraw herself from the competition. I don’t think she owes an apology. If she won, she won. If it was unsafe for the other competitors the judges should have pulled her out.

I dont know. If literal shit is leaking from my ass to the point that i, and everything i touch, gets smeared with it, i believe i would have the good sense to seek out a bathroom. You know, instead of touching more things with my plague hands, and somehow expecting to win because i made my opponents gag from the shit smell.

It’s wild that she just kept on competing. Call me crazy but once I shit my pants in front of thousands of people I immediately get the fuck out if there.

Yeah if it was like a bit before the finish line I can see pushing through it, but it look like she got shit all over multiple pieces of equipment causing a huge health risk. Ignoring all of that stepping out of the race cause you shit yourself would probably make this a lot less news worthy and you would at least have some sympathy from people. Edit: fixed grammar
