Some of the requests that come into my office now it’s like, I know the person barely even knows what they’re asking for, but they put it in the shape of a valid request so now I’ve got to expend energy to educate them on how what they’re asking for doesn’t make sense.
If they’d just come to me with honest questions and a rough outline of what they wanted, I could’ve helped them, but because they insist on filtering everything through an LLM I’ve got to try to communicate through this thick, meaning-eroding medium. It’s like trying to talk to someone through a mattress. Whatever happened to having the courage of your convictions. sigh
People have assumptions of what correct communication should be, and it generally has a minimum page length instead of minimum content amount.
The worst cases I’ve seen is when they’re trying to convince someone of something verbally, they get the agreement very quickly, but get stuck in convince mode rather than moving on since it shouldn’t be that easy.
