English isn’t meant for the roman alphabet, but Welsh is even worse for it. Honestly a lot of languages needed a Sequoyah rather than just borrowing an alphabet from whomever conquered them
Welsh has its own alphabet that’s different from the English one, the spelling is actually a bit more sane than English. English would sound bloody ridiculous too if you used the Welsh alphabet to speak it as well.
