I also use them in casual conversation, but in form of normal dashes. I don’t think it’s useful to find obscure characters when typing

You rabidly hate productivity gains…?
Ooh no, no these people are very much arguing against that. But it is because they don’t understand it. Only someone that wrote 100 lines of sql and then got handed it in seconds can reasonably understand. Ironic that it’s also only these people that could check it for errors which is required if you actually want it to be useful, because it hallucinates. Yet it is useful. If you need to write those and know how it should look and produce and know enough syntax to vet the script, then it is faster than just making it by hand. But the layers of ignorance at every turn of this discovery is sad. Fueled by the political environment no doubt.


They have improved our standards without exception. I hate capitalism more than anyone. When you pretend that productivity and efficiency is capitalism you help capitalism. You are its ally.
